MERAKI, a coaching tool is designed in the form of a deck of cards has the potential to enable one to create a vision for oneself, one’s organization, community, team or family, explore creative ways to generate ideas and solve problems, get unstuck in life/ career situations, resolve conflicts, engage a group of people.
It is built on two key aspects
- A logical aspect which is a holistic framework. MERAKI is also an acronym for various elements – Meaning, Energy, Relationship, Attention, Knowledge, and Innovation
- A mystical aspect which has its foundation in law of attraction, which primarily means that it’s not that you choose the card, but also that the card chooses you.
The tool has been created by leveraging learnings and frameworks from coaching, systemic thinking, picture therapy, intuitive tools, emotional intelligence and NLP. It is simple to use, beautifully designed to experience and a great gift for self or others.
The design of the tool is in the form of deck of cards that provokes an inquiry through 5 clues on each card – an image, an element of MERAKI, a question on each card to provoke thinking to find a new perspective, core dimension symbol and a sub-element of MERAKI. A sample card is shown below.
Once the contracting is done, one can explore ideas and options by drawing out a single or multiple cards and post-reflection use the clues to come up with deeper answers
